National mask donations support community organizations in fighting the spread of COVID-19
Burlington, ON – January 29, 2021 – Bunzl Cleaning & Hygiene recently participated in the Bunzl Week of Giving, which was launched to help fight the spread of COVID-19 in communities across Canada.
During the Week of Giving, Bunzl donated over 90,000 masks to 27 organizations across the country including hospitals, schools, emergency services, community support services and long-term care facilities, supporting healthcare delivery, protecting essential workers and assisting people in need.
“The global pandemic has created unprecedented needs in the communities in which we operate,” said John Howlett, President of Bunzl Canada. “Giving back to those communities is a fundamental tenet of our business philosophy, our culture and our values. We share those values with our employees, and with our customers.”
Bunzl Cleaning & Hygiene’s team donated masks to homeless support services, hospitals and police services across Canada including Nanaimo Affordable Housing Society, Victoria Cool Aid Society, Our Place Society, the Salvation Army, Rotary House, Winnipeg Police Service, Ottawa Hospital, Accueil Bonneau and Old Brewery Mission.
